Falcons Fall in District Final

At Warwick, Rhode Island, the Lackawanna College men's basketball season came to an end in the District 11 Championship game, as the Falcons fell to Community College Rhode Island by a 97-63 score. Lackawanna ended their season with an overall record of fourteen (14) wins and fourteen (14) losses.

Four Falcons scored double figures in the loss. Stephen Coleman had the team high with fifteen (15) points, while Vincent Roux, Javon White and Antione Hackman scored eleven (11) points each. DeVaughn Jones led the Falcons in rebounds with seven (7). DeAndre Albritton dished out ten (10) assists .

On the whole, the 2011-2012 season was a success as Lackawanna won eleven (11) of their sixteen (16) conference games, and recorded two (2) more wins in the Region XIX playoff's to win that title for the first time since 2006. Two players were selected to the All Region team; Albritton to the First Team and Hackman to the Second Team. Finally, in his first year as head coach at Lackawanna, Raru  Archer was named the Region's "Coach of the Year".
