Lady Falcons shutout by Northampton

Scranton PA – Tuesday afternoon, the Lackawanna College volleyball team was shutout by Northampton, 3-0. The Lady Falcons lost those three sets by scores of 25-10, 25-6 and 25-18.

In the loss, the Lackawanna stat leaders were Jordan Skoff, who had three kills, an ace and two blocks; and Kayla Baney, who had four assists and four digs.

After the game, Coach James Hummer observed that he saw progress in his teams efforts when he said, "We tried some different things with our lineup tonight and I think we found something we liked in the third set. Our girls played hard and went point for point in that third set with one of the best teams on our schedule. I'm happy with how we played. I hope we can take some momentum from this match and have it transformed into wins in the second half of our season".

Lackawanna plays again on Thursday, when they travel to Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania to take on the Bears of Harcum College. Thursday's game is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
