Women's Volleyball goes 1-1 during Saturday's Tri-Match

(Blue Bell, PA) - The Lackawanna Women's Volleyball team picked up their 2nd win of the season during Saturday's Tri-Match as they defeated Luzerne County Community College 3-1. (25-17,16-25,25-16,25-14) During the second match of the night, the Falcons lost to Montgomery County Community College 3-1 (25-22,25-14,22-25,25-21). The Falcons record now sits at 2-5.

During the first match, Lackawanna was able to hold Luzerne CCC off with great performances from Townsend and Skoff. Together they combined for 14 kills. Luzerne was able to take 1 set, but Lackawanna's team seemed to find its groove as they won sets one, three, and four by over 8 points each.

The second match saw the Falcons drop the match to Montgomery 3-1. The Falcons Volleyball team showed off a similiar trend this season, they manage to hang around in their losses. Dropping the first set by only 3 points (25-22) and the fourth set by only 4 points (25-21), Lackawanna is proving they can take their opponents to the limit.

The Falcons will be back on their home court on Tuesday September 18th. They will be competing in another Tri-Match against Manor College and Harcum College. The matches get underway at 4pm.
